Part 3:

Months had passed, and you somehow managed to tell Mattie a fact every day so far, even the weekends. You looked them up every night, and you had a just-in-case list tucked into your bag. That small tingling feeling you felt had somehow became a lot more stronger. You could swear with every word you said, it became a little stronger than the last time you felt it. The only time you really felt it was when you were talking to or about Mattie. The more you thought about it, the more you realized how much you enjoyed talking to Matthew, and how much you liked being around him. You realized just the thought of him-

Suddenly, you had an epiphany.

You had fallen for Matthew Williams.  

You blushed at the thought, and dismissed it as soon as it came. There wasn't any way that was true.

Right?

Now you were just doubting yourself. But what was the thing you were doubting? You had no idea what to think. Were you really in love with-

"Hi." You inhaled sharply because of the surprise of his voice.This voice was all too familiar. You turned around.

...Matthew Williams.

"H-hi! Sorry, you scared me!" You exhaled in relief. You suddenly remembered what you had been thinking seconds before he appeared. Your eyes widened a little and your felt heat rise up to your cheeks.

"You look warm... Are you sick?" he asked, obviously concerned.

"N-no! Not at all, it's just a little hot out here," you said, starting to fan your face. It was summer after all, but not exactly that hot. You suddenly realized how much you'd been stuttering. "Well, let's get a move on, shall we?"

He watched you for a little, and after a little said, "Okay."

You somehow forgot about what you were thinking about. "Oh, by the way, did you know, that if you took pure potassium and put it in water, it would go on fire and then proceed to explode?"

(Present Day)

You checked the time. You still had time until he came home. You had been enjoying this a lot, it was like reading a really good romance novel. You looked around at all the other boxes. You really should unpack the rest, but you were way too hung up on this, for some reason. You knew what would happen, but it was just one of those things you just couldn't put down.

You sat in your room. You were sitting on a chair with your knees up to your face. Were you really in love with Mattie?

Of course the answer was yes. There was no doubt about it. Other questions flooded your brain.

How would you confess? Would you confess at all? How did Mattie feel? Did he feel the same?

All these questions ran through your mind. You flopped onto your bed. You thought about telling him. You two never had a secret to keep from each other. At least, until now. Would you?

Yes. You would. You decided on Friday, after school, so that if you wanted to run away from him afterward in embarrassment, you could, and you wouldn't have to face him over the weekend.

Wow, you were nervous.

But that was normal.

You were set on this decision.

...Right?
